White Maple Café
White Maple is a modern neighborhood café in Ridgewood, New Jersey serving contemporary American bistro cuisine with a focus on seasonal, locally and sustainably sourced ingredients. The bright, welcoming space and thoughtful approach to food inspired an identity rooted in simplicity, nature, and modern craftsmanship.
I developed the initial brand identity and creative vision, creating a custom monogram inspired by the organic shapes of white maple leaves and tree branches. An elemental typeface and restrained black-and-white palette reinforce the café's natural, contemporary character, allowing the color, texture, and beauty of the food to become the focal point.
The identity was designed to feel simple, distinctive, and approachable -reflecting the café's commitment to thoughtful ingredients, fresh preparation, and a modern neighborhood experience.
